Studio MUC

Studio MUC, Frankfurt

Studio MUC in the center of Frankfurt am Main offers business travelers 345 top-class serviced apartments for a long-term stay. These holistic residential spaces, which leave no wishes unfilled and include concierge and cleaning services, have been created on the basis of Feng Shui principles, which harmoniously fill with life all the living and public areas.

For this prestigious project developed by SWI Schimpel & Winter Hausbau GmbH, we were on the one hand, responsible for the design and implementation planning, including project management and logistics for the entire interior. On the other hand, we completed all the interior fittings as well as the entire furnishing of all the apartments and public areas, such as reception, lounge, fitness area, reading corners and lavatories, and designed them down to the finest detail.

We paid special attention to creating an open and intimate living space with possibilities for personal retreat by combining various natural materials and deliberately chosen building elements. In addition, the sophisticated mix of patterns and colours of the interior design provides interior architectural accents and, in combination with foliage plants, an especially cosy atmosphere and natural comfort.

Foyer 1010

Foyer “Concierge House“

For a Viennese apartment building, which offers an in-house concierge service to its residents, we were contracted for the realization of the entire entrance hall, inclusive of the concierge’s reception desk and all the furnishings. “Malek Herbst Architekten”, responsible for the building’s planning, described the design quite aptly as “urban coolness combined with intimate cosiness”. Our aim was to unite functionality with an inviting and cosy ambience.

The specially processed materials used, were decisive in producing the decidedly cosy atmosphere. On one hand, we used vertical slats made of solid oak on the organically shaped wall cladding, which we stained in different coloured shades to create a consistently natural ambience.
On the other hand, we used upholstered velvet seating and velvet wall elements to both optically and haptically create a warm, and appealing atmosphere.

Lavishly wallpapered walls and ceilings, warm lighting and comfortable seating areas round off the overall effect of the foyer. It additionally offers an outward looking effect due to its wide glass floor to ceiling windows, and ensures for an inviting atmosphere.

Round shapes and high-end wood are the defining elements of the interior we realized for “Malek Herbst Architects”.

Wooden floors and vertical oak slats used as wall cladding, ensure for a cosy atmosphere. Specially manufactured furniture in custom shapes bestows the interior with an individual design signature. Special details such as parapet cladding with leather covers complete the interior concept, while the stylish furnishings including seating, tables, carpets, lights and curtains round off its harmonious atmosphere.

Particularly beautiful: the kitchen worktop and the kitchen wall made of sanded and brushed grey terrazzo.

Private Villa Hamburg

Private Villa in Hamburg

“Reimann Architecture” was responsible for the villa’s exquisite design, while we were in charge of the perfect realization.

In the walnut kitchen, we bestowed the lavishly designed kitchen cabinets with a wave-shaped “corrugated look” made of solid wood, set with sophisticated colour accents on the cabinet interiors, lacquered in matt aqua blue. Persian travertine was chosen for the worktop.
The walnut oak dining table with a star-shaped veneer pattern on its surface, which was processed by hand, is particularly beautiful.

The cabinet doors of the open, walk in closet were made of special, Secrisa glass with an intermediate layer of metal and bestowed with milled handles with a matt black background.
The closet island, with its elegantly rounded edges and horizontally placed design joints, is made of walnut and finished with a glass top surface.

In the bathroom, the vanity was made of walnut and combined with panels and fittings as well as with mirror elements suspended from above – all made of bronzed brass. Special Secrisa glass was used once again for the partition wall in the bathroom.

Lloyd Fonds

Lloyd Fonds, Hamburg

This representative office located on Hamburg’s Outer Alster, was planned by “Andras Koos Architectural Interior Design”. We manufactured the wall cladding and furnishings inclusive of the reception desk, the library, the show kitchen and the meeting room.

For the latter, we manufactured a large conference table, 8 meters in length. A bespoke piece, it was made of high-quality oak wood, combined with black metal details and elaborately designed woodwork veneering.

Fully produced at our manufacture in Styria, all the furnishings were delivered by our own fitters and assembled on location. In addition, we were also responsible for representing the client and for managing construction in Hamburg.

The implementation of the Clinic of Plastic & Craniofacial Surgery’s interior, designed by “Delugan Meissl Associated Architects” in San Francisco (USA), was especially challenging.

A system of linear wooden elements that covered the floor, walls and ceiling stood at the focus of the planned concept. A unilateral direction of movement for the slats, defined the main axis from the door to the end of the entrance area, while transverse lines on the floor, marked the entrances to the offices. The ceiling slats flow vertically in order to provide the glassed inner walls with a filter that allows the light to penetrate deep into the interior, but still allow for privacy for the patients.

The pieces for this demanding project were all manufactured in Austria. Its technical implementation and the manufacturing effort was planned in advance in such a precise manner, that the individual pieces were transported and then seamlessly incorporated into the structures, on location in the USA.

We are particularly proud of the floor slats made of solid wood, set in fine aluminium frames and fitted into the granite floor panels: a perfect combination of all three materials.
